The Australian billionaire Packer family showed off their two super-yachts off Puerto Portals this morning. The iconic Arctic vessel was originally built in 1969 as a rugged, ice-class deep-sea salvage and rescue tugboat. Gretel’s late father, Australian media mogul Kerry Packer, purchased the vessel and had it extensively converted into a luxury expedition yacht, relaunching it in 1994.

Following Kerry Packer’s passing in 2005, the yacht was tied to the family estate and initially associated with James Packer before Gretel Packer took full ownership during a high-profile family settlement in 2018. The Arctic has spent much of the summer in Mallorca waters causing quite a sensation.

Moord nearby is the superyacht, IJE, a stunning 108-metre is a masterpiece of design and engineering. It is owned by Gretel’s brother, James.

Built by Benetti and delivered in July 2019, this extraordinary vessel boasts exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail. Its name is a heartfelt tribute to James Packer’s three children: Indigo, Jackson, and Emmanuelle.
